I am a pilot and flight instructor who likes to write  about my experiences flying airplanes and being the mother of a daughter with a rare genetic disorder.  My first sentences were written in the second grade when Mrs. Wilkinson asked us to write about what kind of animal we would choose to be and why. I wrote that I wanted to be a bird so I could fly. Seven years later I started taking flying lessons. My debut book is a memoir about flying.
